Jackery Battery Power Pack My Real World Usage Examples I personally, have never tried to run the household refrigerator, microwave or A/C. Knowing the outage will usually be about 3 days average, I keep my battery power for what I deem as my essentials. Your household may have different needs and needs could change IF outage becomes 7 days or longer.
If you are looking to power and recharge basics such as phon, laptop, fans, head lamps, etc here is my simple, real world use of a 1000W Jackery Power Battery Pack that is several years old. These figures below were taken from the status screen on the Jackery Pack that shows amount of power left in Battery Pack and how much Watts is being Output when charging an item. I very much like having this ability so can plan to save or charge an item to only 75% if needing to budget power. As an item is charging, the power in battery pack will decrease.
Started with 71% power on Jackery 1000 Power Pack
Mac Book Pro – took 2 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100% at 32 w usage from 71% to 65% or consuming 60 watts total – 6% of battery – I should not need to recharge laptop for a couple of days. iPhone – took 1.5 hours to fully charge from 2% to 100% at 12w and used from 65% to 64% or 10 watts as 1% of the battery pack. Should last me all day. Spritzer Fan (fan and sprays water mist, rechargeable)- took 4 Hours to fully charge from 15% to 100%, at 21W and used from 63% down to 54% or 9% or 90 Watts used; this fan runs for several days, the battery lasts unbelievable long – the use of spritzing water reduces time by about half. Coffee Pot – standard home, automatic drip coffee maker, made 12 cups with plugged into the Jackery Pack. Took 15 minutes using 825 w and Jackery went from 54% to 41%,using 13% or 130 watts. Room Fan – rechargeable room fan – 5 hours to charge from 0-100%, at 10w and used from 41% to 37% or 40 watts total or 4% of battery pack – and will last all night. Headlamps – rechargeable – only used 1% but did take 4 hours to fully charge going to 36%. You can see why having different ports to charge several items at one time is helpful because different charger cables that come with each rechargeable item has it’s own trickle charging time. I did the examples all separately for guide sheet to budget power as deemed most critical.
My personal Jackery 1000 started with power level at 71%, ended at 36% after charging a iPhone, laptop, spritzer fan, room fan, headlamp and made 12 cups of coffee.
I charged 1 item at a time to see watts used in status window per item; and charged items from 0 to 100% a : Mac Book Pro, iPhone 13, Spritzer Fan, a room fan, a head lamp AND made a full pot of coffee = using 13% of starting power in the batter pack. I could charge all 5 items and make pots of coffee 2.7 more times before recharging Jackery Battery Pack. That is more useful to me due to products never produce what they say in perfect laboratory conditions, like the MPG on a new car sticker.
FINAL TALLY – Phone, Laptop, head lamp, room fan, spritzer fan and a pot of coffee = 360 watts total used to charge items to full.
